-
Perdana Park is the latest landmark in Kota Kinabalu, bringing the city yet another notch higher in the run for the title of, with permission, the most beautiful city in Malaysia
One of the latest attraction in Kota Kinabalu Sabah is the newly built Perdana Park at Hone Place Tg Aru. It was officially opened on 28th January 2011 by YAB Datuk Sri Najib Tun Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Built on a 16-acre area, Perdana Park is the very first recreational park in KK with a musical fountain performance. It was donated by Timatch Sdn Bhd for the benefit, inspiration and enjoyment of the people of Sabah. The park is an OKU (handicapable) friendly park.
Among the benefits can the tourist get when visiting are the musical fountain, purified water provided free of charge, caters to special physical needs, a containerized stage that could be used for cultural shows, reflexology footpaths and exercise areas. Most of the visitors come early in the morning or late in the evening to jog and do some exercise and watch the musical fountain shows. It is also a very nice place to relax and breathe fresh clean air after a long tiring day at work.
